He is Spirit, eternal, infinite, unchangeable, righteous and loving.
He is the Father of Jesus Christ and our Father, who will provide for all our needs.
He is all powerful, present everywhere, all knowing, and a Trinity.
About Jesus Christ:
Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, the second member of the Trinity.
He gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world.
He arose from the dead and is alive forevermore.
He is the only means of salvation and forgiveness of sins.
About the Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity and shares equally the attributes of the Father and Son.
He is the Comforter who dwells in the hearts of those who respond in faith to Christ and convicts of sin,
Imparts spiritual gifts to believers
Teaches and interprets God’s Word
Empowers believers to resist temptation
About Human Beings:
We are by nature sinful and cannot by ourselves be pleasing or righteous before God.
We can only be made righteous by accepting God’s forgiveness for sin through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
We will be given a new life because of this relationship to Christ.
We are designed to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
About the Bible:
The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
It is our only guide to salvation, belief, and practice of the Christian life.
It is the standard against which we must measure ourselves and test any beliefs.
About the Church:
The Church is composed of every individual who has put his/her faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and we, as believers, make up His body.
The purpose of the Church is to equip and prepare its members to do the work of loving, caring, evangelizing, and ministering to others in Christ’s name.
About the Sacraments:
There are two sacraments instituted by Christ: baptism and communion.
Baptism is an outward sign of the inward work of the Holy Spirit and represents a public statement of commitment to Christ.
Communion is a remembering or commemoration of Christ’s death on the Cross which ought to be accompanied by conviction and confession of sin and the assurance of forgiveness and pardon.
